An American journalist has been kidnapped in Baghdad, U.S. and Iraqi authorities stated Tuesday.
The journalist, recognized as Shelly Kittleson by retailers for which she has written, has reported extensively from the Center East as a contract contributor to Al-Monitor, International Coverage, Politico and the BBC. She relies in Rome however travels often within the area.
