The Pentagon on Friday stated that it’s withdrawing about 5,000 troops from Germany amid a feud between President Donald Trump and Chancellor Friedrich Merz over the U.S. warfare in Iran.
The Pentagon’s chief spokesman, Sean Parnell, stated in an announcement that the choice follows a “thorough overview” of the army’s power posture in Europe. “We count on the withdrawal to be accomplished over the following six to 12 months,” Parnell stated.
